Here Comes the Sun

It was a Lunar Eclipse on Monday. And it was the Winter Solstice on a Full Moon on Tuesday.  Today, we celebrated the return of the Sun King by dancing out in the alley. Sunshine poured down on Hollywood during a break in the storm.  And during the amazing sunset, we were especially lucky to share a double rainbow. And even then, I was told it was a triple rainbow!

Praying Mantis

The Praying Mantis teaches how to still the outer mind and go within ourselves.
Through this, we can draw upon greater power –
physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.
That stillness can be simple contemplation or meditation or even dreaming.

Healers often have Praying Mantis totems — for they use
their inner stillness to focus their healing power.

The greatest lesson this totem teaches is patience.
Learning to wait for the right moment before striking.

Into the Sky

My friend AntVala introduced the music of Nick Rosen to me… and also, to always have my camera ready.
I was listening to Nick Rosen’s cd on my way home. Here I am driving Into the Sky.

Carlos

I met Carlos at the Venice Beach Skate Park on Sunday. Every day is a challenge for him and the Venice community. But they accept only the good energy of those around to help them each day. And in turn they give the good energy back. Karma. That day he helped a boy learn how to skateboard. The boy’s father was so grateful and generous to Carlos with $20. This was something that Carlos did not expect at all because he only wanted to help the boy learn how to skateboard. Someday Carlos hopes to be able to work for the Venice Beach Skate Park to give back to a community that has given him so much: Hope
“When one shines forth, it is like the moon at midday – an event so bright that what is normally hidden outshines even the brightest light. That is what it is like when masters walk among the people. By their presence, they illuminate and gladden all who come their way.”

Sing to Me of Angels

Sing to Me of AngelsThe sky’s symphony started like this…

Sing to Me of AngelsAnd rumbled into percussion and bells.

Sing to Me of AngelsFloating into winds and strings…

Sing to Me of AngelsWith a single timpani

Sing to Me of AngelsRippling out of the atmosphere

Sing to Me of AngelsStillness as day begins it’s descent

Sing to Me of AngelsThe Universe begins with one note.

Today. Was. Magic.

I was working right up to 6:30 today when I looked up and realized the sky and buildings were glowing that warm yummy light I so so love. I took out my D90 and ran down the stairs to capture what I believed would be magical. And it was. Only that my D90′s batteries had completely drained. Sad! No! But Yay! iPhone! : )

Inside OutThis is from inside the lobby at A&I, where I work.
I always love looking up at those windows to see the sky outside.
Always a delight.

Thundershowers!I don’t have photos of the light that was flooding under the back door as I was leaving.
Nor do I have photos as I opened the back door and my breath was taken away.
The feeling and visual was like in the Wizard of Oz,
when Dorothy opens the front door
and everything is in color and not black and white.
But I have this photo. And I think it still does the magical moment justice.

RainbowMy first view of the rainbow.

Rainbow!Walking backwards, the rainbow kept climbing higher.

AuroraThis part of the sky fascinated me with its ethereal aurora-esque presence.

And the sky meltedAnd the sky started melting into coolness
as we felt the first raindrops on our upturned smiling faces.

It was truly a magical day.

So blessed.

Love!
