The Blessing of the Animals
Olvera Street, DTLA
March 30, 2013
Every year, the Saturday before Easter, you may bring your pets
for the Blessing of the Animals on Olvera Street.
At the Pavilion there is music, dancing, drumming…
Mark your calendars for next year!

Jose Gurria-Cardenas
Pasadena, California
March 22, 2013
Jose Gurria-Cardenas asked me to photograph him for his upcoming show at the Blue Whale on May 7. “The show is about the phases of my career in particular the last 6 years which is what I have spent in LA , where I feel so many life changing things have happened… The healing aspect is that the music has washed (if not everything) at least the most toxic stuff. I have survived because of my art.”

Nan Rae Brush Painting Class
February 23, 2013
My brush painting teacher and friend Nan Rae has a beautiful Akita named Kita!
I have been brush painting with Nan since June 2012…
I had only seen photos of Kita and her destruction.
But on February 23, I finally meet Kita.
She is too sweet!
Hello Kita!

Today during my lunch I sat in the sun next to these flowers.
What kind of flowers? I don’t know… But they are pretty flowers.
