Mason the Black Stallion
Meet Mason, the Black Stallion.
Thank you Ariel for introducing him to me.
Mason is a special magical unicorn.
Instant love.
The entire back pasture on the left with the fence is Mason's.
I'm riding bare-back for the first time and he let me!
This my my favorite photo of Mason with the highlights from the sun on his black coat.
Horse shoes are very painful, so Mason doesn't wear any. His hoof is equivalent to one of our fingernails. The very sensitive area is at the center.
Horses can smell up to three miles away.
Horses noses are very soft like velvet.
I love how he scrunches up his eyes. I was doing the same. :)
This is Taco the pony! Taco will be sharing the pasture area with Mason.

DTLA | Birthday Dinner
My good friend Chris took me out for an early birthday dinner at the Bona Vista Lounge, a revolving cocktail lounge on the 34th floor of the Westin Bonaventure Hotel with a panoramic view of DTLA. It was perfect. I don’t eat very much. Actually, I do, but not 10 ounces of meat! We shared prime rib, raw oysters, caesar salad, and a fancy drink in a fancy glass. The night air was cool with light rain. Here are some photos with rooftop views from the Ritz Carlton and The Standard.
