Yesterday to honor #dancingwithphoebe, I went to the Huntington Gardens to play with the fairies.
These are the photos I captured and this is the video I made: instagram.com/p/ihnnLVGSQm/
It was a hot hot day at the Arboretum on August 7, 2012
I hope this warms you up on this cold day today!

I didn’t record video, but here is Rocco and C.C. White performing live at Hotel Cafe to give you a feel of the music.
With flowers and with women,
with absinthe and with fire,
we can divert ourselves a little,
acting our parts in the play.
Absinthe drunk on a winter evening,
lights up in green the smoky soul;
and the flowers on the darling one
exude perfume before the bright fire.

My good friend Chris took me out for an early birthday dinner at the Bona Vista Lounge, a revolving cocktail lounge on the 34th floor of the Westin Bonaventure Hotel with a panoramic view of DTLA. It was perfect. I don’t eat very much. Actually, I do, but not 10 ounces of meat! We shared prime rib, raw oysters, caesar salad, and a fancy drink in a fancy glass. The night air was cool with light rain. Here are some photos with rooftop views from the Ritz Carlton and The Standard.
