A transcendent moment at the Chinese Garden at the Huntington Gardens.

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature’s first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf’s a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So Dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

Magnolia

A magnolia tree at the Huntington Gardens. It’s pretty, but just isn’t the same without the sunlight on the petals. It was an overcast day, but the colors of the petals are still striking.
